Alvin, Fay and Mabel - Nairobi trip
Alvin, Fay and Mabel left Feb 15, 2017 for a visit in Nairobi, Kenya. Went to a safari and saw lots of animals, Sunday were privileged to go to the church where Alisha goes in Kenya, Another day we enjoyed being at the school where she taught English. The teacher there who also taught English is such a good teacher, we were in on one of the class sessions he was teaching. The elephants at the elephant orphanage enjoyed the muddy water to roll around in and after seeing this we enjoyed a Kenyan meal at the pastor's house. We enjoyed the time the teachers that taught Alisha their language and had tea with them.We enjoyed a visit to a tea farm and had a wonderful meal there learning about tea ant it being one of their big exports. We also enjoyed time spent at a museum, they have so many different very pretty birds. Alisha was a very wonderful host and showed us so many things she has experienced in her Kenyan life. (We enjoyed Kenyan, Ethiopian, Somalian and American foods while there.) It was a real blessing to be able to be there with her but soon it was Feb 23 and time for the long flight back home.
